GAC 200 Emulsion

Gac 400 emulsion
|
A liquid acrylic polymer emulsion which dries to a hard, stiff film. When applied over a fabric support, such as cotton, linen or silk, the GAC 400 will serve to dramatically stiffen the support. This allows the artist to transform a lightweight fabric into a free-standing form that will hold its shape. If laundering stability is essential, the polymer can be heat-set.

Acrylic Resin
A polymer from which acrylic emulsions are made. High quality acrylic resin is a necessary component of high quality acrylic polymer emulsion.
Binder
Acrylic emulsion (made from acrylic resins). It is the binder that gives the paint its handling and durability characteristics.
Pigment
Dry, powdery materials that do not dissolve, but remain suspended when mixed with acrylic polymer emulsion. They are organic, inorganic, natural and synthetic. They have little or no affinity for the surface to which they are applied. A binder is necessary to adhere pigments to a painting surface and coalesce into a paint film.

|
A liquid acrylic polymer emulsion which is also available from Mister Art with leveling ability, that forms a hard, glossy film. Useful for increasing film hardness and reducing tack, while maintaining flexibility. The hardest polymer that is suitable for flexible supports.
